Set in New Mexico, 1910, an Irish immigrant and her son camp in a forest. The terrified mother must track down her child when he mysteriously goes missing. Inspired by the poem ‘The Stolen Child’ by W. B. Yeats.
nspirations/Tone
We were specifically inspired by gothic, irish folk tales. The title of the film comes from a poem of the same name by William Butler Yeats. It is featured in the script. We want to evoke the dark fairy tales that inspired the story with our palette of rich greens, reds and browns. We will specifially use the light ivory, tan and light brown of Margaret's costume to contrast the shadows around her.

The incredibly talented guitarist and composer, Liad Abraham, allowed us to use his piece, Starless Night, as a featured song in the movie! He also composed two seperate instrumental pieces we have worked into the scoring.
